The Golan Heights:

The Golan Heights, located in the north eastern part of Israel, is an elevated plateau that starts rising from the south part of the Sea of Galilee towards the highest point in Israel: Mt Hermon.
Visiting the Golan Heights gives you an opportunity for a bird view over the northern part of Israel.

If you happen to be at the area of the sea of Galilee you can ascend to the Golan heights via one of its wide roads. If you got only one hour you should consider a visit to the "Peace Vista" ?at " Cfar Haruv", from there you can see the Sea of Galilee and look all the way to Mt Tabor & Nazareth.

One of the most famous scenic spot and viewpoints at the Golan Heights is at Mt. Bental, from there you have the best view point over the border with Syria and Mt. Hermon.

At the site there is former army bunker that open for visitors, and the highest coffee shop in Israel "Coffee Anan".

Next to the site is Kibbuts Marom Golan there you can have nice lunch at the "Habokrim Restaurant"
